Bridgeview, IL — LGH continues to strengthen its material handling rental fleet with the addition of new AIRFLOAT 4-skate and 6-skate air skate systems, giving customers an efficient solution for moving heavy loads with precision and control.
Air skate systems allow heavy equipment to move on a thin cushion of air, dramatically reducing friction compared to traditional machine skates. Using specially engineered air casters operating typically between 50–90 psi, these systems enable smooth movement and 360-degree load maneuverability, making them ideal for positioning heavy machinery in tight or sensitive environments.
The newly added systems expand LGH’s capability to support larger load-moving applications. The 4-skate systems are available in 25,000 lb. and 33,000 lb. capacities, while the 6-skate systems offer 37,500 lb. and 49,500 lb. capacities, allowing customers to safely handle heavier equipment with greater stability.
Each AIRFLOAT system includes four or six steel single-bearing air skids along with a complete control package featuring an on/off valve, pressure regulator, and flow control valves. Individual skids are equipped with hoses and quick-disconnect fittings for streamlined setup. (Main supply hose not included.)
