Toronto, Ontario – September 2017 – In a powerful display of innovation and teamwork, LGH Canada, Four Seasons Aviation Ltd., and Sprint Mechanical Inc. demonstrated their combined aerial construction capability at the Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) in Toronto. Together, the team successfully lifted cargo weighing up to 4,500 lbs. using Four Seasons Aviation’s Sikorsky S-58T helicopter, Sprint Mechanical’s engineering expertise, and LGH Canada’s certified rigging and lifting equipment.
The collaboration began when Sprint Mechanical sought a safer, more efficient method for rooftop HVAC installations in urban areas where cranes were not feasible. Partnering with Four Seasons Aviation for helicopter lift operations and LGH Canada for specialized rigging solutions, the team achieved a seamless integration of aviation precision and rigging reliability.
After extensive research, the Sikorsky S-58T helicopter was selected for its lift capacity and urban flight certification. Equipped with upgraded safety features, the aircraft can lift up to 4,500 lbs., carry 17 passengers, or transport 4,000 lbs. of cargo. Four skids can be loaded through the helicopter’s side door and swing-open tail section. This makes it ideal for high-demand aerial operations.
LGH Canada provided the lifting and rigging gear for the project. They ensured every component met the highest safety and certification standards.
