LGH Introduces Modulift and MaxiBar Systems to Expand Lifting Capabilities

July 2005 – Bridgeview, IL — LGH, a global leader in lifting and rigging equipment rentals, announced the addition of the Modulift Modular Lifting Beam System and MaxiBar Spreader Beam System to its rental inventory. This marks a major milestone in the company’s mission to provide the most advanced and versatile lifting solutions available.

Rigging and lifting spreader bars used to lift an airplace. This new product line represented a breakthrough in rigging technology for LGH, introducing modular lifting systems that could be configured to suit nearly any lifting scenario. The Modulift system, designed for portability and quick on-site assembly, offers flexible span and capacity options ranging from 9 tons to over 180 tons. The MaxiBar system complements it with heavy-duty configurations capable of handling loads up to 350 tons.

“Unlike fixed-length spreader beams, the Modular Lifting Beam and LGH MaxiBar systems can both be pieced together in an almost infinite number of configurations, accommodating even the most awkward loads,” said Tony Fiscelli, President of LGH North America. “These systems allow our customers to lift smarter—reducing setup time, crane costs, and transportation challenges.”

Early uses of the systems included bridge construction, industrial turbine installation, and tunnel shaft excavation—demonstrating their flexibility across industries.

“The easy configuration, variety of spreader sizes, and proven durability make this one of the most reliable lifting solutions available,” said Molly Ward, LGH Sales and Marketing Coordinator.

The introduction of Modulift and MaxiBar cemented LGH’s position as an industry innovator—offering customers safer, more efficient, and customizable lifting options than ever before.

“Our business is about solving problems and helping customers work safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively,” added Bill Parkinson, LGH Group Chairman and Founder. “These modular systems represent the future of lifting technology, and we’re proud to bring them to our customers.”
